• Founded in 2000, Nvision Torrance is led by Wendell P. Wong, M.D., medical director and chief of Laser Surgery, and Michael Brenner, M.D., surgical director. Dr. Wong has been practicing in the South Bay for 30 years and has performed more than 70,000 refractive vision correction procedures. Dr. Brenner has performed more than 25,000 refractive vision correction procedures.\n\n \nBoth Dr. Wong and Dr. Brenner have personally had Lasik surgery. Dr. Wong holds the record for the most near-sighted doctor to have Lasik surgery within Nvision Southern California.\n\nNvision Torrance is unique among laser vision correction centers in that its surgeons complete their own one-day-post-operation visits with patients. Providing this extra care gives this center’s patients a sense of continuity and allows them to ask their surgeons any follow-up questions directly. Nvision Torrance is the only Laser center in the South Bay with multiple lasers, including Intralase, Wave Light Allegretto and visx Star S4 lasers, which give the doctors more choices in how to provide laser vision correction for their patients. At Nvision Torrance, Dr. Wong specializes in refractive surgeries, while Dr. Brenner specializes in cataract and IOL surgeries. Because of the attention paid to patient care, Nvision Torrance regularly receives record numbers of referrals from past patients.
